It is a stringed instrument that is linked to the “Oud” family (lute) having the strings parallel to a neck,
originally with three simple plucked strings, from the guembri family. The guembri is also a kind of lute,
the body is made of a piece of cedar wood, hollowed, pear-shaped or rounded, covered with a felted sheepskin
and mounted with two or three strings. Today, it has nylon ropes. It is basically used
in the Amazigh music of the Middle Atlas (Morocco) including Khenifra
