The Provencal tambourine is a percussion instrument, from the family of drums. It is only played on one side  using a wooden stick (mallet) while the other hand of the musician plays a three-hole flute called the galoubet. Its proportions have a height approximately double the diameter. It is provided with a stamp  on the pounding skin, goat skin.
