The instruments that make music Gaiteros (goup of colombian musicians, following the Indian culture of the Caribbean) are the gaita flute, maracas, called Maracon, and drums. The gaita flute are made from a cactus tube (or bamboo) topped with a head made of beeswax mixture plant ashes where entrenched a part of feather to allow to infuse the air.   The female gaita (gaita hembra) includes 5 holes and plays melodies. The male gaita (gaita macho) includes two holes and plays accompaniments. .
